The article presents the results of a study of a very important personal characteristic - the value orientations of students of higher educational institutions of the I-II level of accreditation. The research was conducted by surveying in the Internet, filling a Google form. We believe that such a survey can be more candid and credible than an audience survey. In addition, the using of the Google form allowed to cover the number of people (357), which can be considered representative. During the study, young people were asked to evaluate the proposed values to the criteria: «doesn't important at all», «rather not important», «difficult to answer, neutral», «rather important», «very important». Next, the results were converted to a numerical scale and summarized.
The article also contains the results of a comparison with a similar study conducted in 2014. This provided an opportunity to see trends in changes in value orientations in the youth environment.
To illustrate the results of the study in the article used 6 charts and 1 table. This allowed for a more in-depth analysis of the value orientation and general trends.
The conclusions not only state the results of the research, but also set tasks for the development of those competencies that, according to the research, are necessary for young people to self-realization in life.
