УДК 378:004 A Model for the Formation of Professional Skills of Prospective Teachers of the Humanities Using Information and Communication Technologies

The article deals with the problem of the formation of prospective humanitarian teachers’ professional skills in the Information Society. The author reveals the structure of humanitarian teachers’ professional skills and substantiates the model for the formation of professional skills of prospective teachers of the Humanities by means of Information and Communication Technologies. The goals, methodological approaches and basic principles of the formation of humanitarian teachers’ professional skills in the Information Society are determined. Particular attention is paid to the description of the technology of forming professional skills of prospective teachers of the Humanities by means of Information and Communication Technologies, which includes content, forms, methods, tools, pedagogical conditions and stages of the formation of prospective humanitarian teachers’ professional skills by means of ICT. Criteria, indicators and levels of professional skills of prospective teachers of the Humanities in the Information Society are developed. It is concluded that the implementation of the developed model involves the introduction of the technology for the formation of prospective humanitarian teachers’ professional skills by means of ICT into the educational process of higher education institutions in the system of humanitarian students’ bachelor training and experimental testing of the suggested technology.
