Abstract

The aim of the study is to highlight the state of readiness of teachers to use the means of digital educational environment for the implementation of education for democratic citizenship and parliamentary education. The research methods are the analysis of approaches to the implementation of education for democratic citizenship and parliamentary education; observation and questionnaires of teachers to identify their readiness to use the tools of the digital environment in the process of education for democratic citizenship and parliamentary education, statistical methods of processing the data. The obtained results revealed the attitude and readiness of teachers to use the tools and instruments of the digital educational environment and allowed to identify problems that need to be addressed. The practical signifi cance of the study is to provide proposals for the use of digital educational environment in the process of parliamentary education and education for democratic citizenship and to outline the prospects for further research in further research on foreign experience in creating digital information and educational environment, development of guidelines on these issues for teachers and heads of general secondary education institutions, education policy specialists and stakeholders. It is important to continue the scientifi c research in such areas as professional development of teachers of various subjects on the use of digital teaching aids; creation of information and digital environment of institutions, in particular postgraduate, education; assessment of readiness of educational institutions for distance learning; conducting further research on foreign experience in the use of digital media in the educational environment for teaching subjects of the civil science cycle. The originality of the study lies in the use of a wide range of methods to identify problems with the use of digital tools for training during quarantine caused by the COVID-19 pandemic (online surveys, online consultations, etc.), which allowed real-time testing of respondents problem research.
