The use of online platforms in the preparation of doctors of philosophy in the discipline «Modern teaching methods in higher education and pedagogical skills»

Abstract

The article is devoted to the actual problem of introducing e-learning in Ukrainian higher educational institutions. It is proved that the formation of the informational and communicative competence of a postgraduate student is a prerequisite for his formation as a successful specialist in a particular industry and in teaching. The author refers to the professional standard of a teacher of a higher educational institution, as well as to the publications in the fi eld of didactics. An interesting idea is that the use of online platforms contributes to the development of the information and educational environment of the university. A brief description of the most popular educational online platforms is offered. Such online platforms as Moodle and BlackBoard aimed at storing and sharing any educational materials by higher-education teachers and students are described in the article. The content of the course «Modern teaching methods in higher education and pedagogical skills», posted on the Moodle platform, has been analyzed. The author proves the relevance of the introduction of the course in all specialties of the postgraduate studies. The theoretical conclusions of the article are illustrated with the examples of assignments for independent work of graduate students using e-learning. It is emphasized that all electronic means, rationally used in the informational and educational environment of the university, contribute to the renewal of the academic disciplines teaching methods. Prospects for the study of various aspects of the problem of online education are outlined.
