Theoretical aspects of the formation of value orientations of school-age children in out-of-school educational institutions of military-patriotic orientation

Abstract

The article presents the results of theoretical analysis of the problem of formation of value orientations of schoolchildren in out-of-school educational institutions of military-patriotic orientation. The concept of «value» is considered in the field of scientific research in philosophy, sociology, psychology and pedagogy. The importance of correct civic identification, determination of national affiliation, which involves the formation of value orientations, moral virtues, education in the traditions of the Ukrainian people. The urgency of the formation of value orientations of school-age children is due to rapid socio-economic and political changes, stressful situations in the life of the student, especially in the context of hostilities in eastern Ukraine. The formation of the child's personality, its value orientations are defined as a tool for self-identification of their nationality. The role of family education, the use of the latest models of journalism for the formation of value orientations of students, the importance of the correct formation of patriotic worldviews as a value that requires additional study of the history of their people. The importance of rethinking the value system that needs significant renewal in modern conditions is considered. The practical significance of the obtained results is that they can be used to plan the activities of both secondary and out-of-school education, and especially military-patriotic institutions. Theoretical analysis of the problem of forming value orientations of school-age children made it possible to identify the urgent need for radical change and development of non-standard educational and training programs, quality adjustment of the educational process, which should positively affect the child's personality in educational institutions. The above provides an opportunity to update the educational system of Ukraine, to improve it in accordance with the needs of the modern generation.
