Formation of socio-cultural values of students in the educational environment of the institution of vocational prehigher education

The article reveals the essence of socio-cultural values. Various scientific approaches to determining the main characteristics of sociocultural values are considered. It has been established that sociocultural values are a system of beliefs, views, norms and standards that are formed in society and determine how people perceive the world, interact with each other and establish relationships with other members of society. Sociocultural values determine what actions and deeds are considered correct and acceptable and can be the basis for decision-making in various situations, can play an important role in the formation of social, political and economic systems in society.
Determined components of socio-cultural values of IVPE students: cognitive, emotional-value, behavioral. In order to check the levels of formation of students' socio-cultural values, a diagnostic toolkit was developed, which includes criteria, indicators and levels. Actual forms and methods of educational activities regarding the formation of socio-cultural values of students are proposed, which includes the study of socio-cultural values and the correction of misconceptions concerning values.
