Abstract

The article examines the problems of spirituality of modern youth, which is a sign of conscious maturity and development of society. Attention is focused on the influence of folklore on the formation of national consciousness and self-identification of the younger generation. The author of the article emphasizes the urgent need to significantly increase the attention of each nation to national shrines, to raise to a higher level the problems of national education among the younger generation, and to form in young people due respect for the imperishable centuries-old heritage of their people, in obtaining (especially in the youth community) thorough information and modern systematized knowledge of folk art (folklore).

The purpose of the article is to clarify and scientifically substantiate the role of folklore in the formation of the spiritual culture of an individual, which is the key to the sustainable development of modern society as a whole.

There is a well-founded social need for the fact that in the proposed processes involving the introduction of new technologies of national orientation into the practice of working with students of education, a natural combination of traditional and modern knowledge about folklore, which today acts not as art, but as a carefully worked-out system of magical rituals, should be found , an esoteric code of colossal importance, the deciphering of which is just beginning.

It has been found that according to the significant results of genetics research, each person inherits not only physical, but also spiritual properties from his kind. However, in order to know the spirituality of the people as a whole (or any person, in particular), it is necessary, at least, to know the spirituality of the ancestors in many generations.

The author notes that, as the course of history has shown, spirituality is a special and multifaceted phenomenon characterized by unique qualities that are not material or bodily qualities. Therefore, our attention should be focused on something fundamental, which, among other things, distinguishes spirituality. We should focus our attention on the fact that spirituality is always filled with national and cultural identity.

Ukrainian folklore allows today to carry out purposeful formation of universal norms of moral consciousness, development of moral and ethical feelings, attitudes and behavior habits of young people. Respect for work, work traditions, work tools, customs, songs and entertainment, finally - the graves of our wise and singing ancestors becomes quite important at the modern stage of consideration. All this is dear to us, and just as a person's personal memory forms his conscience, a respectful attitude towards family and friends, relatives and friends - old friends, i.e. the most faithful ones, with whom they are connected by common memories - is so historical the memory of the people forms the moral climate and society as a whole in which this people lives.
