УДК 159.955:37.091.3 Use of google services in the process of organization of work of computer science study group for gifted children

The article analyzes the nature, features and characteristics that distinguish gifted students. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, the definition of the concept of “giftedness” is proposed. The authors offer a set of extracurricular activities aimed at developing the abilities and talents of high school pupils. It is stated that the most popular form of extracurricular work, which helps to realize the inclination of the gifted child, is group work (including teamwork) as a voluntary association of students who show a particular interest in a certain area of knowledge and seek practical activity. Particular attention is paid to the group work in computer science, where gifted students will have the opportunity to work out the necessary skills in order to interact with modern information technology. The authors focus on the main areas of computer science classes: getting acquainted with the basics of working on a computer, run applications for educational purposes and their subsequent use for solving various tasks; mastering the rules of working with e-mails and browsers for viewing hypertext pages, forums for further work in telecommunications projects; searching for information on the web through search engines and similar affiliated tools, etc. Thus, the authors highlight unlocking the power of Google's services in organizing a computer science classes and workshops with gifted students, including Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Classroom.
