In connection with the reform of Ukrainian education, there is a need to train highly qualified specialists of preschool profile who possess the methods of competency training and new educational technologies. A graduate of a higher education institution must understand the contemporary needs and needs of society. This, in turn, increased attention to the moral problems of society, to the need to educate a highly moral personality. At the level of preschool childhood, this is possible through the formation of moral feelings. Senior preschool age is the most favorable for this. One of the important factors behind the intense formation of moral feelings at the age of 5-6 years is the preparation of the child for school. We understand the moral feelings of older children as emotional attitudes towards other people's behavior and our own, reflecting public morality, moral traditions, and people's real relationships with one another. Analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature allowed us to identify the main types of moral feelings, to which we attributed the feelings of truth, trust, justice, empathy, kindness, commitment, dignity, friendship, companionship, fear, shame, guilt, conscience, altruism, responsibility, duty, success / failure, civic feelings. Moral feelings include cognitive, emotional-value and behavioral components. We have analyzed the content of the Basic component of pre-school education and the current educational and partial programs in order to identify the potential laid down for the task. It was found that certain aspects of moral education were reflected in them. There is a need to develop pedagogical conditions for the formation of moral feelings of older preschoolers in the educational process.
