УДК 37(477)(09) History of formation and development of pedagogical education of Zhytomyr region (ХІХ – beginning OF ХХ century)

Abstract

The results of a retrospective analysis of the history of formation and development of educational institutions of Volyn / Zhytomyr region are covered. Specific features of socio-cultural and political development of the region, prerequisites for the establishment of leading educational institutions, which provide(ed) professional training for future teachers (Korostyshiv Teacher's Seminary, Krupodernitsky Pedagogical Courses (currently – Berdychiv Pedagogical College) are characterized. Systematic, structural and functional analysis of educational activities of the reviewed educational institutions, features of professional training of future teachers were carried out; the basic tendencies of their functioning and further development are defined. The role of well-known public, cultural and educational personalities – outstanding teachers, leaders, who have made a significant contribution to the organization and activity of these educational institutions has been investigated. Efforts to scientifically analyze the little-known facts about the development of education in Volyn region, organization, formation and development of designated educational institutions of pedagogical education have been made, as well as the little-known documents and materials were introduced into the scientific circulation, which greatly expanded the idea of the development of educational institutions in Volyn region. The results of the research contribute to the generalization of positive pedagogical experience, thus, serving the purpose of its further use in the modern stage of reforming higher pedagogical education.
