Research of the effectiveness of the program of formation of professional-value orientations of pupils in vocational (vocationaltechnical) institutions

In the context of reforming the education system and the implementation of European values, the issue of value orientations of young people becomes highly relevant. According to the international programs UNESCO-UNEVOC and Skillman, the education of young people isof special attention worldwide who have made their life choices in favor of vocational (technical) education. Because this is a large group that creates basic material resources, uses high technology, creates and broadcasts the latest ideas, views, mentalities. Therefore, the topic of our research was to elaborate a program for the formation of value orientations in the fi eld of professional activity of pupils of vocational (technical) education and study the effectiveness of its implementation.
In the process of preparing the program, we analyzed the scientifi c works of O. Bartkiv and E. Durmanenko, N. Maksymchuk, V. Paskar, E. Panasenko and K. Romanenko, V. Demyanyuk, O. Zhulinska and others.
We conducted ascertaining research of value orientations of pupils of vocational and technical education. For this purpose, we used a list of values proposed by the State Institute of Family and Youth PolicyA comprehensive program «Formation of professional and value orientations of pupils in vocational (technical) education» has been developed, which provides updating of the content of education. It also introduced special courses «Professional and value orientations of future specialists», «Professional development of students in the learning process» and held seminar dispute «Values in human life». In this context there was a training on the formation of professional values, individual and group consultations, pupils received recommendations for independent work aimed at the formation of professional values, excursions to enterprises (organizations) were held,
during these events, there was communication with specialists, attendance of master classes and professional competitions.
According to the results of the research in the experimental group, the priorities included the following values: «Interesting work», «Development of their abilities, self-realization», «Creating your own business». In comparison, in the control group, these values were among the values of medium importance.
In the future, it is necessary to continue this work; separately it is advisable to analyze the gender aspects of the formation of professional values among pupils of vocational (technical) education institutions.
