Features of the formation of students’ value orientations

The article examines the concept of «value orientations of the individual» and their infl uence on human behavior. Values are defi ned as an important element of personality structure, its harmonious development and existence in the world. The opinions of scientists regarding value orientations and their formation are considered. It is indicated that value orientations are a kind of mindset; it determines the needs, desires, aspirations, material and moral and spiritual values of society. It has been proven that value orientations are the most important regulator of human behavior. It has been determined that along with the family, which is the fi rst educational center, educational institutions have no less educational infl uence on the personality of the child.
It is noted that the effectiveness of educational work of an educational institution depends on its correct organization. The main tasks and features of the «Ukrainian family» program, aimed at improving the technology of educational work, are described. The article analyzes the results of the implementation of the program «Ukrainian famil» in institutions of general secondary education by conducting a questionnaire survey of students of the Belotserkovskaya specialized natural and mathematical school of I-III levels No. 16 named after N.А. Kirilenko. The positive dynamics and effectiveness of the forms of work and their content proposed in the program have been investigated. Comparative tables of the respondents’ answers to determine the value orientations of students are presented.
