Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of professional training of future music teachers in higher education institutions. Attention is focused on the vocal training of future professionals by means of Ukrainian folk songs. The classifi cation of Ukrainian folk songs according to their purpose and semantic load is analyzed. The signifi cance and infl uence of folk music on the formation of students ’vocal skills and the strengthening of future teachers’ interest in folk music as a holistic phenomenon of people’s culture are clarifi ed. It is determined that the implementation of modern tasks of musical and aesthetic education of the younger generation depends on the level of general cultural and artistic development of music teachers, on his professional competence. A prominent place in the professional training of the future specialist in the fi eld of art is occupied by his musical and performing skills, in particular, vocal training. Folklore must become an integral part of the music teacher, who must involve his pupils in folk art. To successfully educate the aesthetic culture of students on the basis of national musical culture, the teacher himself must be deeply convinced
of the life-giving power of folk art, love and enjoy folk music.
The author emphasizes that it is expedient to offer students a kind of folk-song methodical lecture, aimed not only at developing the vocal skills of future professionals, but also at mastering the method of acquainting students with the artistic means of Ukrainian folk music for further musical use. pedagogical activity. The main forms of work were thematic classes, music lectures, conversations, holidays of Ukrainian folk songs.
It is proved that the effective use of all the richness of folk music, taking into account the psychological and individual characteristics of future music teachers, will help in the organization and implementation of targeted vocal training of students in higher education. The use of song folklore in the educational process is not only an important means of forming vocal and performing skills of students, but also the development and enrichment of their musical and aesthetic culture, contributes to the formation of emotional and value attitude to the spiritual culture of their people.
