Communicative competence formation of future pharmacists in the process of studying chemical disciplines

The article is devoted to a topical issue – communicative competence formation of future pharmacists in the process of studying nonverbal general and inorganic, organic, pharmaceutical chemistry.
The urgencyof the issue is due to the general decline in the adolescents’ culture of behavior and communication: ignoring etiquette, lack of ability to listen to the collocutor, intolerance in relationships with others, as well as insuffi cient level of formed skills of graduates in establishments of professional pre-higher education qualitatively organize cooperation and communication, independently organize work in pharmacies, in the pharmaceutical industry, in the initial links management of a particular organizational structure.
The article defi nes the concept of ‘communicative competence of future pharmacists’ which we consider as an integrative property of the individual, that includes language knowledge, verbal and nonverbal practical skills and the ability to apply them in the professional activity, ability and skill to organize communication and cooperation with people both in professional and social aspects. Emphasis is placed on the importance of communicative competence in the future professional activity of a pharmacist. Forms and methods are described in the classes of chemical disciplines which are most effective in the process of communicative competence formation.
These are, fi rst of all, methods of educational activity organization: brigade group, work in pairs, interactive methods: heuristic conversation, project method, discussion/dispute/debate, business and imitation games, non-standard forms of classes: exhibition-class, presentation-class.
Emphasis is placed on the effectiveness of the described methods, in the process of which students actively train language, nonverbal communication skills, professional communicative qualities.
