The article highlights the peculiarities of professional training of future teachers of music in the pedagogical college. The focus is on developing the creative abilities of future music teachers in the process of student pedagogical practice. It is pointed out that an important aspect of the development of creative abilities of future specialists is the purposeful use of the potential of art and different types of pedagogical and artistic practice in the educational process of the higher school. It is proved that pedagogical practice is a significant factor in the formation of personal gifts, creative potential of future teachers of music art. The purpose of the article is to analyze the ways of development of creative abilities of future teachers of music art in the conditions of pedagogical practice as an integral part of professional preparation of students in the humanities-pedagogical college. The types of pedagogical practice envisaged by the educational program of training of future teachers of music art on the example of the Bar Humanities Pedagogical College named after Mikhailo Hrushevsky are analyzed. The objectives of the article are: defining the concept of creativity as a pedagogical category; characterization of the main types of pedagogical practice of future teachers of music art in the process of professional training in the pedagogical college; analysis of methods of development of students' creative abilities in the process of pedagogical practice. Among the main types of pedagogical practice of students of the Bar Humanities Pedagogical College named after Mikhailo Hrushevsky, the following are: extracurricular educational practice, practices "Preparing for summer work with children","Summer pedagogical practice in wellness camps", "Trial lessons and classes at school" ,"Undergraduate practice." The methods of forming the creative abilities of the personality, which are used in the process of passing by students of pedagogical practice, are analyzed. It has been proved that creative ability is an important component of the professional development of future music teachers. Passing by students of different types of pedagogical practice stimulates the development of creative abilities, activates initiative, non-standard thinking, creative approach to solving pedagogical situations.
