Abstract

The article identifies and analyzes the role of the educational environment in the formation of new thinking, which contributes to a conscious attitude to their own and collective security. The article reveals the importance of teaching an integrated course «Ecology and Safety of Life» in the process of training specialists in the field of knowledge 12 «Information Technology». The purpose of the article is to highlight the role of the discipline «Ecology and safety of life» in the formation of competencies to ensure personal, professional and environmental safety as part of the professional competence of future professionals in information technology. Scientific methods of analysis, observation and generalization were used to achieve the goal of the article. The characteristics of the new complex discipline are given. The task of the discipline «Ecology and safety of life» is to teach students to identify potential hazards, to recognize their types, to determine the magnitude and probability of their manifestation; be aware of the functional inseparability of man and the environment, their mutual influence, which is reflected not only in life, but also in the way of thinking, active social position, personal security and the state of the environment. Its connection with other disciplines of general and professional training of future specialists is determined. The general competencies that are formed as a result of studying the discipline in training in specialties related to the field of knowledge «Information Technology» are analyzed. The main problems of its teaching are raised, the factors that serve the best assimilation of the material are determined. The study of the problems of life safety of one person or society as a whole must be studied without separation from environmental, technological, economic, social, organizational and other components. Each of them influences to the other, and all of them are interdependent, influencing the standard of living, health, kindness of people.
