Scientific basis for improving the personality of the future teacher and his readiness for the moral education of elementary school students

Abstract

In the article, based on the analysis of scientific sources and research, the problem of improving the personality of the future teacher and his readiness for the moral education of elementary school students is studied. Modern conceptual models of personality development are considered, such as: the human-centric model, the acmeological model of the achievements of a mature person, the model of continuous development of the personality, the model of «I-centeredness» in the upbringing and spiritual development of the personality; strategies for personal and professional growth of specialists in various fields. The components of the indicated readiness of the future teacher are singled out: value-motivational, information-content, activity-actual, evaluative-reflexive and corresponding criteria. Based on the developed questionnaire, a study was carried out on the state of readiness of future teachers for the moral education of elementary school students. According to the results of the ascertaining stage of the experiment, mainly the average and sufficient level of formation of the studied readiness was revealed. This is due to the fact that the vast majority of students do not have a clear program of moral improvement, established moral principles, and their own actions are insufficiently analyzed. There is a need for further work in the direction of improving the quality of training future teachers for the moral improvement and education of students.
