All-ukrainian children’s and youth military patriotic game «Falcon» («Jura»): quantitative and qualitative analysis

Abstract

The article updates the issue of patriotic upbringing of children and school youth. The use of military-patriotic games that have proven their effectiveness and efficiency, in particular the All-Ukrainian children's and youth military-patriotic game «Falcon» («Jura»), is justified, its purpose and main tasks are outlined. The value of military-patriotic games in the context of patriotism education of the younger generation is outlined.

It has been proven that military-patriotic games have the necessary educational potential for educating the defenders of state sovereignty, integrity and independence of the Motherland as highly moral citizens-patriots who respect Ukrainian traditions, protect and multiply spiritual values, able to realize their potential in the conditions of modern society, the issue of improvement is actualized educational influences of military-patriotic games.

The results of the survey of the participants of the All-Ukrainian children's and youth military-patriotic game «Falcon» («Jura») were analyzed. An age, gender and regional analysis of survey participants was conducted; the issue of holding patriotic events in educational institutions, the systematic involvement of students in activities in patriotic circles is revealed. The participants' knowledge of patriotic games was identified and characterized. The priority of types (topics) of classes in the game «Jura» was analyzed. Conclusions are made regarding the key characteristics inherent in military-patriotic games.
