The article deals with the problem of determining the level of forming professional skills of the teachers of the Humanities in the Information Society. The meaning of the concepts "criterion", "indicator", "level", and "professional skills" is revealed. The structure of professional skills of the teachers of the Humanities in the Information Society is highlighted. Based on the scientific works of researchers who developed criteria for forming various pedagogical skills, and taking into consideration the structure of professional skills of the teachers of the Humanities, the author substantiates and develops the criteria, indicators and levels of forming the above-mentioned skills in the Information Society. The article provides a detailed description of the criteria, indicators and levels of forming professional skills of the teachers of the Humanities on the example of a foreign language teacher and outlines the prospects of using the developed criteria to diagnose the level of forming professional skills of current and future teachers of the Humanities.
