Abstract

The article deals with a topic that is relevant today the conceptual features of the structure and content of the textbook of an integrated course of natural orientation. The study of this topic involved the analysis of the correspondence of the current state of the theory of the textbook to the requirements and needs of society for the final product of education, which is implemented through a social order. The article shows that the change in social relations, technology, access to information, has led to a change in the educational environment and its components, which include the textbook. However, the theory of the textbook has remained at the level of the 1980s, and the theoretical foundation of the new theory of the school textbook is in its infancy. The same problems can be traced in the approaches to the formation of textbooks of integrated disciplines: significant differences of opinion both to the concepts of building the most integrated courses of a natural orientation (content, structure of these courses, ultimate goal, tasks and functions), and to the format of the textbook of this discipline (structure, content, filling). But the variety of opinions allows us to single out, in accordance with the general functions of the most integrated course in the natural direction, the requirements of the State Standard for basic and complete general secondary education, the functions of the textbook, the peculiarities of the format, structure and content of the textbook of the integrated course in the natural direction. This makes it possible to practically implement the construction of such a textbook, and, consequently, to solve the problems facing integrated courses, broad discussion and further research of this topic.
