Abstract

The article reveals the features of professional training of future music teachers in higher education institutions. It was found that the reform of the modern education system in Ukraine, including higher education, requires raising it to the level of world standards, revision and improvement of methodological approaches and technologies for the implementation of educational programs. The problem of professional training of future teachers, in particular, future music teachers, in the conditions of pedagogical colleges deserves special attention, as traditional approaches to teaching and educating modern youth do not fully satisfy today’s demands.
Analysis of the process of professional training of future music teachers in higher education institutions (in particular, pedagogical colleges) suggests that the educational activities of students aimed at their professional development is one of the components of comprehensive personal development in higher education, as it aims to study the humanitie, social, as well as professional music and pedagogical disciplines. However, the dominant in the training of future music teachers, however, remains the professional orientation, the priority of special music-theoretical and musical instrumental and vocal-performing knowledge and skills.
Attention is focused on determining the specifi cs of the formation of instrumental and performing skills of students in classes on «Basic Musical Instrument», outlines the main objectives of the discipline. The author emphasizes that this discipline is one of the basic disciplines of professional training, the task of which is the formation of instrumental and performing skills of students, the formation of their instrumental and performing skills. It was found that in the system of instrumental training of future music teachers the work of Ukrainian and foreign composers should be studied in accordance with those types of musical performance activities that are associated with the use of musical instruments in general secondary education.
It is proved that instrumental skill occupies an important place in the system of professional training of future music teachers and is a component of their professional training. Perfect mastery of instrumental and performance techniques contributes to the assimilation of students the content of music and pedagogical education, provides a high level of their future professional activity.
