Formation of civil competence of student youth on the basis of literary activity

The article presents a scientific and theoretical justification of the problem of forming civic competence of students. Attention is focused on working with students of professional higher and higher education institutions. It is proved that one of the primary tasks of domestic institutions of professional higher and higher education is to prepare young people for life in modern society on the basis of national self-identification of peoples and cultures in the information society. The formation of civic competence should take place on the basis of certain principles of national-patriotic education, as one of the leading tasks of national education is the education of patriots and citizens. Classes in civic education, Ukrainian language and literature, in which the teacher has the opportunity to reveal the content of civic competence through the description of key qualities that a person possesses (including the examples of literary heroes), are important. The purpose of the article is to consider the definitions of «competence», «civic competence», as well as a theoretical analysis of ways to form civic competence of young people on the basis of studying the Ukrainian language and literature in institutions of professional higher and higher education. It is determined that the education of civic competence involves the formation of a set of personal qualities and character traits (such as patriotic self-awareness, civic responsibility and courage, willingness to work for the development and strengthening of the state, etc.) and is carried out throughout its life, at all stages getting her an education. Classes in civic education, as well as Ukrainian language and literature are becoming very important. In the process of studying program works, the teacher focuses on the formation of such personal qualities as discipline, diligence, creativity, a sense of responsibility for the well-being of his country, his people. The formation of civic competence of student youth is an important scientific and socio-pedagogical problem that needs to be properly addressed at the level of pedagogical theory and practice. One of the most important tasks of modern teachers is to continue working on the formation of civic qualities in young people, understanding of belonging to the Ukrainian people. Teachers of vocational higher and higher education institutions must clearly understand that the young people they teach and educate today are an active force in political change and, depending on the values they bring to these changes, the culture they implement, their knowledge and future plans. come to life, will largely depend on the formation and development of the Ukrainian state in the future.
