Formation of civic feelings of students in history of ukraine classes

Abstract

The article highlights the problem of national-patriotic education of modern youth, in particular, attention is focused on the formation of civic feelings. The role of the educational discipline "History of Ukraine" in institutions of professional pre-higher and higher education is substantiated, thanks to which a new concept of civic-patriotic education is formed, which is based on the Ukrainian national idea, age-old traditions, and the positive attitude of young people to folk and national symbols, history and culture .

It has been proven that the study of the "History of Ukraine" educational discipline by the students of the educational discipline "History of Ukraine" in professional pre-university and higher education institutions plays a significant role in the formation of the civic feelings of the youth, thanks to which the formation of a new concept of civic and patriotic education takes place, which is based on the Ukrainian national idea, age-old traditions, positive attitude of young people to folk and national symbols, history and culture. The course of the history of Ukraine, introduced in all educational institutions as a basis for the formation of the Ukrainian national idea, the revival of the historical truth about our people, and the patriotic upbringing of education seekers at all its levels.

The purpose of the article is a theoretical analysis of the peculiarities of the formation of civic feelings of education seekers during the study of the educational discipline "History of Ukraine". The tasks of the article provide for the outline and descriptive characteristics of the thematic components, which are most aimed at forming a conscious civic position and feelings of the younger generation.

It is substantiated that among the main educational directions, patriotic and civic education are the most relevant today as core, fundamental, which not only meet the urgent requirements and challenges of modern times, but also lay the foundations for the formation of the consciousness of current and future generations, who will consider the state as a guarantee of their own personal development, which is based on the ideas of humanism, social welfare, democracy, freedom, tolerance, balance, responsibility, healthy lifestyle, readiness for change. Therefore, the formation of "new" patriotic and civic qualities of schoolchildren consists in a harmonious combination of traditional education in the past and the development of new educational paradigms, taking into account the prospects for the development of society as a whole.
